How do I import a slide during powerpoint presentation?

I just found the dual monitor feature in powerpoint for using a laptop to
have random access to files within a presentation while a projector shows
only the selected slide. Is it possible to switch to, or import a slide from
another presentation if I suddenly want to go a different direction with a
presentation "on the fly" so to speak?

You can use Action Buttons to link to any presentation you like. Go to Slide
Show > Action Buttons. You can have these buttons visible or not (99%) to
link to another pres at any time.
