how do i delete a word doc off 07

i have tried to find out where i can delete a document off word microsoft
office 2007, its really annoying because xp lets you delete it by right
clicking on to it and gives you the option, ive got loads of docs i want to
delete and now im getting paranoid that theres a bug in my system Help!!!!!

It depends on what part of Word you're looking at.

If you're looking at the list of Most Recently Used (MRU) documents from the 'Office Button' menu you can clear the entire list
there by clicking the Word Options choice at the bottom of the list and in the 'Advanced' area scroll down to the Display section to
set
'Show this number of Recent Documents'
to zero (you can repeat the steps to turn it back on after).

To remove individual entries, which are stored in the registry, you can use Greg Maxey's MRU editor from
http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Recently Used Files Edit.zip
(unzip the enclosed template to use it).

If you're in Office Button(File)=>Open
change to a view other than 'preview' to be able to right click a document to delete it.
