how do I change the slide size to work on a wide screen monitor

I design the pp on my lap top and when I run it it works fine filling the
whole screen.
when I load it onto the computer that drives a wide screen plasma it leaves
blank spaces either side. If i drive the monitor from the laptop, it again
works fine, stretching out the slide to fill the whole plasma screen.

how do I get the other computer driving the pp to do the same?

Set the on screen show via page setup to fit your screen size. i.e. 16:9 or 16:10
