How do I scan photos for PP and the photo be the whole slide?

Novice PP user. I scan the photos but the whole program is a big mess, the
photos seem to overlap the actual slide. Plus, it was originally one slide
following the scan. I inserted slides, then cut and pasted each picture. I
have a PP presentation I suppose, but the photos are all small relative to
the slide.

Once the photo has been scanned you can insert the photo's file into
PowerPoint and then resize it to the dimensions of the slide. Click on the
image and you will see resize handles appear at each corner and on each side
of the photo. Click and drag a CORNER handle to the corner of the slide.
Click and drag the opposite corner's handle to the opposite corner of the
slide. That will make the picture the maximum size that will fit on the
slide. Now, some issues. Depending on the resolution (dpi - dots per inch)
you scanned the image in and the physical size of the source image you may
really see a lot of pixilation (the image doesn't look sharp.)

When you scan in the image the optimum scan will give you a final output of
10.5 inches by 7.5 inches at 92 dpi. (This is the size of the image on a PPT
screen.) If the physical image size is less, increase the dpi to a larger
amount on the scan. That will allow you to resize the image to a larger
size on the screen without losing too much clarity.

Hope this helps, let us know.
