How do I change my search results to NOT show old searches?

Hi
When I got this computer, whilst setting up my internet,
a box came up asking me if I wanted to save all my
searches, which appear in a drop down box as you begin to
type something in, every time you search on a web page.
It makes it easier if you are re-searching for something,
but I just find it irritating. How do I turn it off so
that there is no drop-down box showing past searches?
I've looked through internet options but I can't see
anything that looks relevant.
