IE Yahoo search won`t go to do not complete

My IE 6.0 SP1 always displays past searches in the Search box. I have
unchecked the auto complete boxes for web addresses and Windows Explorer. I
do not want the search box to display my past searches in the drop down. I
have reinstalled 6.0 over itself, tried the repair but nothing works.. what
do I need to do?

In IE go to Tools...Internet Options...Content tab....Autocomplete, then
click Clear Forms. This will remove all such entries in all boxes. If you
want to clear an entry individually, click on it to highlight it then press
the Delete key.
