How do I auto scan?

Hi,

I have a Visioneer One Touch 8900 Scanner with Paperport
DeLuxe 7.0. After I "acquire" a document the auto scan is
in shadow so I can't select it. Going to the manual, it
says to choose the icon from the task bar to bring up the
menu to configure, or to bring up the panel of scanner
buttons. Trouble there is, the icon doesn't appear on the
task bar. I have WindowsXP. Can anyone help?

First thing I would do is is fully uninstall the original software, go to
the maker's website and download any updates. Then reinstall the original
software and then update(s). Try, if no work, see if Vuescan is compat
with your scanner. www.hamrick.com

PaperPort 7 is old software, and may not be compatible with Windows XP.
You should upgrade PaperPort software. This is not a free upgrade.

You should also upgrade the Visioneer TWAIN driver.
