How can I leave the taskbar visable using PowerPoint slide show?

When giving a presentaion, we would like to have the ability to quickly
switch to other programs from slide show and back again. The taskbar would
seem to be the perfect tool for this, but slide show covers it up.

Does anybody know how to keep the taskbar visable while using slide show or
is there some other method that would provide us with the same functionality?

Press Alt+Tab to cycle among running applications.

I'm not sure how to keep the task bar up during a presentation, but if you
can alt+tab to switch between applications during a slide show. Even if it is
on a timer the time puases while you're inanother program, so that if you
have it set to change every 45 seconds, it's not counting the time you're in
another program.
