Can I show the Windows Desktop in a Powerpoint slide

I have a monitoring program I need to view on an LCD TV, but I would also
like to show a constant recycling PowerPoint presentation as well. If
possible, I would like to have powerpoint show the Windows Desktop during the
presentation just like it would a slide.

Basically, I would have the powerpoint run with 20sec delays on each slide
and then cut to the desktop for about 2mins. While on the desktop I could
see my 2 open windows showing my monitoring programs, then it would cycle
again.

Any ideas?

I'm just whistling in the wind here. Showing the desktop is an unusual
command. Here's some info on it:
http://labnol.blogspot.com/2006/10/how-to-restore-missing-show-desktop.html

The problem is that you can't easily use an action setting to run it,
because it's not an EXE file. You'd have to figure out how to overcome that.
Would it pick up a batch file, for example? It's also possible to create an
EXE file.

Then you'd have to figure out how to time it. Maybe someone else can jump in
here.

Actually, if I could just minimize the powerpoint presentation for for 2mins,
then have it cycle through 1 time, minimize for 2, etc. The 2 open windows
running would need to stay open and not minimize.

I wonder if Launch would help there?
