How can I get Microsoft Money to work on my home network?

If anyone can help me, I will be most grateful. I am running Windows XP on
both computers. My daughter's new computer came with Microsoft Money 2004
but she obviously won't be using it at 14. I tried copying the files to my
computer, but received the following message, "Installation of the money
system pack was not successful. Please install it manually by double-clicking
syspack.msi on your original product CD". It came pre-installed on her
computer, so I'm not able to do that. I got the brilliant idea to just share
the program on our network instead and it all seemed to go perfect until I
clicked on the Microsoft Money icon and I received the exact same message. I
am baffled at this point. Any help anyone can give me, will be great.
Thanks!

What you are trying to do is illegal. You should buy a copy of Money for
your own pc. You can buy it for around $28.

Get out! Really? Even though I own both computers? That's crazy. Oh well,
now I know. Thanks.

Did you know that Microsoft has a "support" article that describes how
to share Microsoft Money on a network? Here's the link
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;79917 I just
couldn't figure it out. I'm not really sure how sharing a program is
illegal is illegal. I understand (I guess) how it might be illegal to
copy the program, but sharing? I just don't get it.

You still need another license or your own PC. Or just buy another copy.

you can share it on a network as long as you purchase a license for every
computer it is used on.
