Home Page Keeps changing

My home page keeps changing to the following address and I can not get rid of it: " res://mshp.dll/index.html#22776 "
I have tried everything from deleting files and cookies and putting it in restricted site but the computer wont recognize the "res" since it is not an http(s) or www. Any thoughts on how to get rid of it and let me get back and keep the home page I want like MSN or something??? Thanks,
Steve

I guess you have typed in the web page you want like www.msn.com in the
address and the webpage appears as you would expect. If it does then do you
go into tools>options and set the current page as your homepage and click OK
(just checking), then it reverts back when you open internet explorer again.
If that is the case then try downloading "adaware" from www.lavausa.com
install and run it see if that helps.

Your PC is probably loaded with spyware that is also hogging resources.

There is an excellent article about spyware in PC Magazine:

Their Editor's Choice is Spybot for spyware removal. It's free.

Also run a complete system virus scan with an up-to-date virus program.
