Dear Chuck,

I am so glad to tell you that the problem resolved. The firewall
vendor(sygate) told me that about their software is not compatible with ICS.
That is why I'm not able to use the Internet service from my 2nd PC. Since it
is not compatible. so I just bought a router modem just now. It is so simple
to set it up if compare with ICS. just plug and play. And I can access the
Internet from both PCs as well as files/folder sharing.

I really appreciate that you help a long the way. Thank you for your time
and consideration. Thank you so much, thank you, thank you, thank
you.........................

*How I disable the firewall? I just stop the firewall services from
startup(I am not sure whether is a correct way).

Anyway, Thank you very much again. Have a nice day

Regards,
Huazhi

Huazhi,

That's great news. I'm so glad that the router was a solution for you, and that
it was easily deployed. And thank you seriously for the information about
Sygate - that detail may be useful when helping somebody else.

You ask about disabling the firewall. Are you referring to Sygate, or to the
Windows Firewall? You can get rid of ICS by un checking "Allow other users to
connect..." (Internet Connection Sharing on the Advanced tab. Once you get rid
of ICS, you shouldn't have to disable, or un install Sygate. Stopping the
firewall service is not the correct solution in any case.
