Hiding sign-in addresses

When I sign onto Messenger in Windows XP, there's a drop-
down menu of sign-addresses I can use. Is there a way to
keep those addresses from appearing, so I have to type it
in each time? I've tried checking the hide-address on used
public computer box, but that takes effect one step too
late.

Yes you can, simply download and run the following .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/disablenetcreds.reg
You'll need to reboot to see the change.
