Help ! Windows XP installation crashes .

I am not able to install Win Xp. (btw winME and Win2k does install, but
after a while they stop working).
I have no viruses, I use repartition and format the hd, still
I can not install Winxp. The setup crashes after about a half hour, always
at the same stage/phase. It stops at a blue screen.
Btw there shouldn´t be anything wrong with my computer since it has worked
properly for a half year with winxp and several games. But re-installing
windows does not work.

I´ve been reading about this and people say I have RAM
(memory) problems, however this doesn´t seem to be true, since last night I
ran Memtest all night (over 10 hours) and it didn´t find a single error !

Formatting before installation is an option for you?

You also may have some hardware that is not win xp, eventhough the other
o.s.'s accepted it. this is particularly true with some modems and scanners
that are win95 compatible but not win xp. some older equipment just simply
have to be thrown out the window if you want to use winxp..... be sure to
disconnet "all" hardware before installation. then after installation you can
install them and see which one does not work with winxp...
