Help please

Yesterday when i got home I found my computer operating with many issues I
have ran several virus scans. none have help.

main symptom
1 content area message popping up ever 3mins displays a wmpnetwk.exe -
Application error
the instruction at "0x7c918fe" refernced memory at "0x00000010". the memory
could not be written

Click on ok to terminate the program
click on cancel to debug the program

2 Aol virus protection was missing as well as many other part programs.

3 my decktop tool bar had been adjusted back to the original version

4 I am not able t o contect to windows help

5 in some typing fields you are not able to type after the first second you
click on it.

There may be more problems i don't now about but any help on this problem
would be great

I am not sure if this has anything to do with me recently put on windows
live or upgrading windows media player. I did stop the media players netfile
sharing program but that did stop the error.
