The
system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS

and Microsoft Windows applications.
Chose

If you really want an MVP to help you with this STOP right here because an
MVP I am not. However if what you want is a valid answer to your ? then here
it is.

"16 bit Windows Subsystem"
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT . The system file is not suitable for
running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to
terminate the application. [Close] or [Ignore]
---

There are a number of things that can trigger this problem, including
deletion or corruption of the "autoexec.nt" file. Your system probably has a
C:\Windows\Repair folder that contains spare copies of important system
files, including autoexec.nt ; copy the file from there, and paste it into
the \SYSTEM32 folder. With luck, that's all it will take to solve your
problem!

You may need to unhide your files and folders to find this repair folder he
talks about.

When done be sure that the new copy is set to "read only" This will keep
ceryain types of malware from changing it. :)
