HELP!! Microsoft Visual Buffer overrun

I'm getting the following message each time I start up my computer:

"Microsoft Visual C++Runtime Library

Buffer Overrun detected. Program:C\Windows\Temp\installer.exe

A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's
internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution
and must now be terminated."

Go to Start/Run, and type MSCONFIG then look at the STARTUP TAB, to uncheck
unwanted, checked items. (You may have spyware, or a virus running)
