Help!, I can't get W2K Pro to install on WDC external

I am currently running WXP (NTFS) and would like to
install W2K on my external drive (NTFS). I can't do a
direct install because WXP is a newer OS and W2K setup
won't allow any advanced install options once is sees
WXP. Does anyone know a way around this install issue,
possibly enabling a dual boot option?

Thanks.........

Hello,
There's not a good way, that I know of. It's always recommended, for a
dual-boot setup, that the oldest OS be installed first. In your situation,
that would mean installing W2K first, then installing XP (which is already
installed).

One possibility, perhaps not a great one, would be to remove the drive with
XP, and install 2000 clean to another drive. But that would mean swapping
drives every time you want to swap OSes.
