Help: Hard drive error number #1-07

Hello,

I have a HP Pavilion DV6000 notebook. And several days ago I encountered
an error seems occurred on the hard drive. I cannot boot up my Linux
system and just I/O error at the black screen. Then I check the Hard drive
test at BIOS, the test status returned "#1-07 Failed". I googled this word
and it seems a SATA controller error.

So could anyone tell me what's the meaning of such an error number?

No idea. I would recommend removing the dribe and testing it as
secondary drive in a different computer. Best get the SMART
status and attributes. That is usually enough for a reasonable
diagnosis.
