Hi,
I have Windows XP Home SP1a on my PC with Internet
Explorer 6,SP-1. Sometime around last week (oct. 2003), IE
browser started showing strange kind of problem. When I
open some sites like bestbuy, amazon, windowsupdate,
indiatimes etc., the page gets loaded once and suddenly
the browser starts sending lot of page-reload requests to
these sites. This uses around 90-99% of my CPU and I can
not do anything but to press ALT+CTRL+DEL and terminate
browser process. This does not happen with all the sites.
I tried disabling JavaScript but that did not work. When I
set browser security level (from Tools->Internet Options)
to High, it does not let the site load at all. When I set
it to Medium High and lower levels, the problem shows up
again.
I have all latest updates from Microsoft Update site.
Also, I have Norton Antivirus with all latest virus
definitions. I scanned my whole computer and specifically
iexplore.exe. Norton found just one virus
called "Trojan.QHost" and it deleted the associated file.
Still, I have same problem. I tried softwares like SpyBot
too, but nothing worked. Please help me in this.
Thanking in anticipation,
JJ
