Have to reset user's password every day

Recently, we changed all of our users' passwords on our
Windows 2000 AD network. Since then, only 1 out of over
200 users have a problem logging on every morning. When
he logs on in the morning w/ the new password, it comes
back and tells him that the PW is incorrect. Once we
reset it, it lets him in. We have confirmed that he is
typing in the correct PW (as we have tried it
ourselves). We have had to reset it every day for over a
week now. Is this a user profile issue or a server
issue? Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hi Tony. Have him try to logon from a different machine to try to narrow it
down to an account or machine problem. Check Event Viewer on his machine for
anything unusual and run netdiag on it. One he is logged on see if he can
change the password from his machine, or if he gets some error message. You
could also enable auditing of logon events on his machine and account logon
and logon events on the domain controllers for failure to see if the Even
ID/error codes give you any more clues. --- Steve
