Greyed out Disable Button in Defender

Hi,

I have a few programs showing as starter programs in windows defender that I
would like to disable for startup. However, Windows Defender has the
"remove", "disable", and "enable" buttons all greyed out. I can't do
anything with them. What do I have to do to change their status?

I did a search to find the answer but didn't find anything really fully
answering the question.

Are you trying that from an Admin authority userid... and if ALL users are
not permitted to use Windows Defender (the last button at the bottom of the
options window), are you trying it on the userid that installed Defender to
begin with?

Hi Dave,

I am doing it from an Admin account.

It seems I didn't have the all users button pressed. I figured as an admin
that would be a gimme. From what I can tell, it is working now. Thanks for
helping out!
