Greyed out attachment menu

Sometimes when I click on the paperclip icon to view an
attachment, I see the attachment name in the flyout menu,
but it is grey, not black, and hence I cannot access it.
Anyone know the reason for this and what to do about it.

I am having the same problem. When I pull up the email
the tag line for the attachment reads Oe removed access
to the following unsafe attachments in your mail: Insert
Name of Email.

One of these was from my sister so I know it wasn't
unsafe. How do I turn this off so it stops blocking my
attachments? I have a virus program to do that for me.
