Did you contact them and let them know it didn't work?
And what you mean by didn't work, can you see any light/screen?

What Dell machine version you have and do you have a recovery CD?

How do you know that that is the only problem? What specific
diagnostic checks did you perform? What are the precise problems you have?

Never, ever listen to the Geek Squad; they don't pay well enough to
employ competent or experienced technicians. And Dell support, such as
it is, is severely hampered by having nothing on which to to base their
decisions other than the user's often technically inaccurate description
of the problem and the limitations of the scripts they have read.

Then there is obviously something else wrong. As an integrated video
adapter is part of the motherboard, any of several other motherboard
faults could easily also take out the video chip(s). If a replacement
video adapter was of no help (assuming it was properly installed and the
motherboard BIOS set to use it), then you most likely have a defective
motherboard. Take the computer to a local competent (*NOT* the Geek
Squad) repair service.

Did you disable the integrated video using the BIOS.
Did you install the graphics card drivers from the CD
that came with the card or if no CD download and
install the drivers from NVIDIA's web site.

Also look for a power connector on the video card
and if it has one you need to connect the proper power
supply connector to it.

I have nothing to add to the other replies you've gotten except to add
my voice to Bruce's: stay as far away from the Geek Squad as possible.
Don't use them for support and don't believe anything any of them
tells you. They (as well as other similar people in other big-box
stores) are among the poorest sources of technical support. They are
typically selected for their willingness to accept low salaries, not
for their technical skills.
