Getting rid of Adobe PDF items in right click menu

We have Adobe Writer installed on a terminal server but only a certain group
has the necessary permissions to use it.

Unfortunately the stupid Adobe software puts all these frigging add-ins all
over the place to convert different types of files to the PDF format so
everyoen that uses IE or office apps thru this terminal server get the PDF
generation choices and of course since they dont have permissions to run it
they get a weird error.

I am trying to make it so that these PDF options dont ever show up.

I managed to get rid of the add-ins for the office apps but am having a
tough time with getting rid of the PDF options that show up when you right
click on a web page in IE.

I found an articles that say to go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MenuExt
and remove the offending items which I did.

But everytime I start up IE the same reg entries get put back in.

Does anyoen know how to permanently remove these items from the right click
option in IE?

gracias for any help.

Hi there,

If Adobe is rewriting those keys automatically, I'm not sure what you can
do, apart from uninstalling the software or reverse engineering to nuke the
feature, something that requires very high end expertise. Perhaps Adobe
technical support will be able to shed light on the matter.
