in IE: right-click pop-up menu

H

hyun

I noticed some programs, when installed, also installs a
convenient shortcut in the pop-up menu that shows when you
right-click inside IE. I was wondering if someone can
tell me how I can edit or get rid of some of those items.
I know some of those items, such as "Save Background As"
or "Back"/"Forward" are mandatory. But for example I
installed a program called Flashget, and now in that pop-
up menu, there is a "Download All by Flashget" option.
How can I get rid of this WITHOUT uninstalling/removing
the program completely. I just want to get rid of that
shortcut. Thank you in advance!

You can remove a right-click context menu option in Internet Explorer using
these steps:

Removal Tool:
~~~~~~~~~~
ToolbarCop:
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/utils/ToolbarCop.exe
Manual Procedure:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1. Click [Start] [Run] type [REGEDIT]
2. Navigate to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\MenuExt.
Each subkey of this key represents one menu item. Many will include an
ampersand (&) to define the underlined key associated with the command.

Highlight the key you want to delete (for example,
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MenuExt\Zoom &In).
Choose Export from the Registry menu and export that branch to a file.

Now delete the key.
