Getting latest dll file

Jake

I have scrrun.dll version 5.6.0.8825 on my XP Pro and that seems to be the
latest
download available from MS but one of our 2003 servers has a version
5.6.0.8827. Does anyone know where this version came from or how to get it?
Thanks

Hmmm....copy it across?

I suppose the bigger question is whether it's wise to mix and match dll s,
from another system and what you hope to gain by the process.

BE CAREFUL! DLLs for Windows 2003 Server may be different than XP DLLs.
If you do not have any problems with the XP DLLs then you should not copy it
from Windows 2003 Server.

The newest version of scrrun.dll for Server 2003 listed is version:
5.6.0.8515 3/25/2003 here...
DLL Help Database
http://support.microsoft.com/dllhelp/?dlltype=file&l=55&alpha=scrrun.dll&S=1&x=7&y=3

A search there on scrrun.dll comes up with 5.6.0.8827 for server 2003
service pack 1. Odd thing though is it lists version 5/6.8820 for XP
service pack 2 and doesn't list version 5.6.8825 which is what I have on
my system, which must be from a post SP2 update. Odd that version isn't
listed at all. The database might not be quite current.

Hi Rock,

Current may be a relative term. ;-)
