No luck on the OutlookExpress6 newsgroup, so I'll try here in case anyone

Hi folks:
I have a new computer, XP Pro.
In OE6, I have the setting "automatically download message when viewing in
the preview pane" turned OFF, and that has worked fine for 4 weeks, but
suddenly, messages ARE now being shown in the preview pane again, for only
ONE of my Hotmail accounts. I have re-checked it, closed OE, re-opened OE,
then un-checked it again, re-closed OE, but still.... there they are,
messages showing when I don't want them to show automatically.
know Hotmail is removing OE from free accounts, but I thought that would be
in a while yet, plus my other 3 hotmail accounts are still perfectly fine
with OE. I have several hotmail accounts I "see" through OE, the others
still work fine, but this one is now showing the messages in the preview
pane AND this one only is requiring me to do that 'security check please
type the goggbledegook letters you see' almost every day (one of the others
required it once). The link that comes with their hotmail email that says
"please click the link below to check if you are still a real person and not
a spam machine" (or whatever they say) has never worked. It goes to Page
cannot be loaded. Sigh.So I sign in manually to hotmail via IE, do the
typing thing, sign out, then the account is back with OE, until the next
time. I
