By load do you mean install or opening an installed version.
Do a repair / or a custom reinstall and select themes from the list.
The machine is trying to look on your CD-ROM
for the theme files.
( providing D: is your CD drive )

Sounds like you loaded a custom theme (or addin) and the theme it is in the wrong place, or have some "default" folders that have
been renamed
The location of the std theme is not:
D:\PFiles\Common\MSShared\themes\

The standard themed are installed in
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Themes

Recommend you do a reinstall of FP

Custom themes are saved in "Theme_name" folders (save the whole folder)
The correct default location for custom themes is:

Windows 95 or Windows 98 w/o user profiles
C:\windows\application data\Microsoft\Themes\Theme_name\
Windows 98 with user profiles
C:\windows\profiles\<USER>\application data\Microsoft\Themes\Theme_name\
Windows NT® or Server 4.0 Windows 95 or Windows 98 w/o user profiles
C:\winnt\profiles\<USER>\application data\Microsoft\Themes\Theme_name\
Windows 2000 or Windows XP the default location would be:
C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Application Data\Microsoft\Themes\Theme_name

(where Theme_name is a folder with the name of the theme containing the .inf, .elm .utf8 files)
