Front Page download

I am trying to download my web page from the server. I use import and I get
the data with no navigation between the pages. The instruction that say to
inport, open with FP and the Publish back to the downloaded web page make no
sense.

First of all, you do not need to open the imported web page with FP because
it is already there, it imported to FP.

Second, you cannot have an open web page and publish back on top or it.

Any thouughts ??

OK, I clicked File, Open, and entered www.mywebpage.com and it brought in my
web page.

publish was grayed out so I Saved and was able to Publish.

Then errors, "An unxexpected exception occured"

Any comments ??

Well, I did this:

Then do File > Open Web > http://www.url.com

I saw no evidence of this nor do I know what it means:

userID / pw > OK

And even if I did, publish web is grayed out ???

Please disregard my last post.

I read the article and got to File>Open Web>http://mywebpage.com
which is where I got the error:
"The folder 'http://wwwyourwebpage.com' isn't accessible. The folder may be
located on an unavailable volume or protected with a password"

My web page us hopefully protected with a password which I have but it does
not ask me for it.

File>Open>http://www.mywebpage.com works but then >publish web is grayed
out

I get the same message trying to open your site in FrontPage. Tom Pepper
frequently posts this when that happens - check out the Microsoft Support
articles to see which one might apply to your situation:

The folder "http://Website" isn't accessible. The folder may be located on
an unavailable volume or protected with a password.

WOW !!

I went to some of the "Hepl and Support" sites.

WAY TO COMPLICATED !!!!! I need to get this fixed.

You need to simplify this for me, if that is what you do.

If not, OK, I will suffer and struggle throught it.

OK, I have sent my Internet hosting company and email and a copy of all our
email.

However, the part aboutr publish being grayed out is most likely a FP
problem correct????
If there is data in FP then, publish should not be grayed out.
