Front Page 98 or 2002?

I made a FP 2002 web site with Hover Buttons & then found out you have to
have applets installed to view them. If I switch to FP 98, can I use
non-vanilla hyperlinks that can be viewed by all browers & and computers?
Thanks.

You can do that with any version of FrontPage. Look for image rollover
javascripts, or use CSS rollovers.

Unless you are using Windows 98, avoid FrontPage 98 - it is not at its best
on Windows XP, and may be difficult to use on Windows XP Home.

Won't it be easier (on me) to provide a link for applet installation, much
like links for Adope Reader?

Many people have a JVM installed and disable it in browsers. Others will
never use Sun's JVM since it crashes in some installs of Windows XP Others
refuse to download 30MB of junk so they can look at a button that will be
better, and faster in JavaScript.

Easier for you? - yes. But how may visitors will simply go elsewhere?

PS - you don't install applets, you install a JVM to view applets.
