Fraps and MM

I have produced a short 30 second clip from a game using fraps. When I put
it into MM 2 with just a simple text based opening titles and closing credits
I get the error

"Windows movie maker cannot save the movie to the specified location...."

The original file is still there, and I am trying to save to a disk with
70+gb left on it. I have read that there can be a problem with Fraps videos,
so I have converted my clip to WMV with Windows movie encoder, but I still
get the same problems with saving.

Am I missing out on a vital part here, or do I need a better encoder? or is
there a setting in it that I have miss on clicking on?

i have not meet this problem with fraps. Maybe you can try virtue dub
for your editing? i am now using fastcappro for my recording, coz i got
the problem of audio and video out of sync in fraps and game cam.
fastcappro does the job for me but it seems that it currently can not
work in 64 bite cp. u can get a full license of fastcappro for FREE by
joining their fastcap promotion activities at:
