Frame lines not printing, intermittently

Our Invoice templates are produced using Word, but occasionally some vertical
lines on the printed page are omitted. This is most apparent on the vertical
sides of the table/box, but also affects the vertical lines of some
individual characters on the same page.
We have 2 users with 'identical' setups, both printing to same laser & using
the same driver, but only one user suffers from the problem.
The problem manifests itself intermittently - even with the same document
ie. ask printer for several copies of the same Invoice and one or more copies
could be affected.
Can anyone suggest any possible causes? Thanks.

If you can reproduce this with selecting the "copies" in your printer
driver directly (not in the Word print dialog), then it must be the
printer's fault.

I'd also test if it helps to make the lines a bit wider.
