Found New Hardware Wizard

Found New Hardware Wizard does not recognize the .inf file
in diskette drive or C: drive. I downloaded the new
driver .exe file from the Adaptec's web site. The file
expands and creates the .inf file but the wizard does not
recognize it, and gives the followinbg error: "Windows was
unable to locate the driver for this device. To search
another location click Back, or select an option and click
Finish." The same error is found when using a CD with an
old driver. I'm using W2K Service Pack 4 on an IBM T23
laptop. Please help.

Try right mousing the file, and it should have a choice to install.
