Found New Hardware Screen keeps popping up

I have no new hardware, and a search does not find any, but a box keeps
popping up saying "found new hardware". How do I get rid of this? Thanks

Look in Device Manager for unknown hardware. If you can't figure out what it is, right click it and select Disabled. There should also be an option on the driver installation dialog to not ask again.

Doug thanks for the response. I tried your suggestion and did delete 4 that
said unknown, but the box still keeps coming up. There is also no option to
check to not ask again. I cannot print anything. When I go through the add
new printer it says to insert disc. I insert the printer setup disc again
but that doesn't work. It does not find it automatically either. I'm
desperate to print. Any help is appreciated.

I had that a few times. All I had to do was follow the docs on how to
install the printer. Many people have these niggles because they dont
read the instructions.

I am having the same problem as John. I cannot use my printer or scanner,
and have been through all that has been suggested. I do read all the help
docs. This is one that is not covered. I am also desperate to print. We
might have to go to our printer mfg. on this one. Good luck John
