forgot administration password

I have windows xp but i have forgot my administration password and that is
the only account that i have . I was wondering if i use my system recovy disk
would that reset the password back to the default password. I dont care if i
lose all my files on the computer.

The Recovery disks from many computer companies destroy all data including
the Windows password.
Check with the manufacturer or the manual for specifics of your computer.

disk, this will enable you to reset any system password on an NT class

A tip. When you have recovered from this problem, do NOT use the built-in
administrator account as your one and only account. Create a user account
for yourself (give it admin rights if you need to) and use that on a
day-to-day basis. Then when you forget your passwor, log on with the
built-in administrator account, and reset the password.
