Force IE to prompt to save password

Hi!

I'm wondering what it is that makes IE prompt users to save user name and
password. I have a web site coded in C#/.Net and *part* of it is protected
by
means of a form (forms based authentication). When I key in user name and
password I'm not prompted to
save this information. Lots of other web sites that I access give me this
option - including another one I've developed and set up to use forms based
authentication.
Can someone please help me understand why I'm not asked by IE/Windows?

Morten

PS: I realize that this might be the wrong place to ask but...

Try this:

In IE, go to menu item Tools | Internet Options...

Select the Content tab, and then click on the AutoComplete button.
This will present you with a dialog box containing some check boxes.
Check the boxes "User names and passwords on forms", and also "Prompt
me to save passwords".

Hope that helps...
