For the PowerPoint Experts

I am trying to develop an online PowerPoint training - but
making the presentation customized to each company. We
don't want to host 100 PowerPoints on the web - So..

Is there any way that Access can be merged into PowerPoint
when a client enters their ID # to have the presentation
customized for their company's specific training needs?

One database, one powerpoint.

Another catch is: The need for multiple useres. When a
client has one "training" session in the works, we want to
make it to where that does not affect someone else trying
to gain access to THEIR presentation.

Much appreciated if someone can help.

Thanks,
Sarr

Given money, time and a clear idea of what you're after, anything's possible.
The clearer the idea, the less money and time, as a rule. ;-)

I'd start by defining what you mean by "Access ... merged into PowerPoint".
That covers a lot of ground. If it's just a matter of merging bits of data
(client name, stuff like that) into a "template" presentation, it's pretty
straightforward.

Thanks for the input and leads!

Steve -

The information to be merged into the PowerPoint would be
very site specific: client name; client address; site
name; site address; contact(s); phone numbers; emergency
contacts; site description; site details; and images.

Thanks,

Fairly simple stuff, then.

You might want to look at our PPT Merge add-in demo at http://merge.pptools.com

As it stands, it could generate the presentations manually but it's not
designed to run on a server; it's more like a kind of merge printing for
PowerPoint. It might give you some ideas that could be adapted to your needs,
though.
