Font Format Changes when cutting & pasting

In PowerPoint2007, when I cut and paste a slide from one presentation into
another, I commonly lose lots of formatting, especially font sizes. Any way
to prevent this? It's extremely annoying.

Hi Mark

Rather than using copy/paste, insert the slides: home -> new slide -> reuse
slides -> browse -> <find file> -> open -> tick 'keep source formatting' ->
click slide you want or right click -> insert all slides.

I would go with Lucy's answer but you should be able to select keep source
format when you paste a slide. Do you not see a paste options button.

Thanks, Lucy and John,

But with either way, selecting "keep source formatting" does not actually
truly keep the source format and changes occur with font size, placement and
color. I had already tried the "keep source formatting." This lack of being
able to keep source formatting appears to be unique to PowerPoint 2007 and I
never had the problem before to such an extent. I am using the PowerPoint in
the 2003 compatibility mode, because few computers I find elsewhere have
PowerPoint 2007 and so I have to use the old format to allow compatibility.

Any other solutions?

Thanks,

Hi Mark

This is going to sound strange, but make sure you have a local colour
printer driver installed & set as default. 2007 is very dependant on the
printer driver and odd formatting issues are often fixed by this.

Hi Guys,

I wish it were that easy... as a frequent user of PowerPoint this is a daily
issue for me, and it isnt the printer driver problem as i have both a local
printer driver installed, and a local printer attached... Also it seems to
happen on all the machines that i use...

If anyone has any other bright ideas as how to make "keep formatting"
actually keep all the formatting that would be great
