copy and paste - retain font choices

Hi, folks -- I'm using Powerpoint 2002 on an IBM Thinkpad -- another temp
assignment. I'm cutting pasting from one presentation to another, dummying up
a new one. Is there a simple way to retain the font stylings from the source
presentation? When I paste them into the target, all the fonts default to
Times, and I'd like them to stay as Tahoma, with the original sizes and
colors. Am I missing something simple?

Thanks in advance.

When you paste, a small icon will appear at the corner of the pasted object. If
you click on it you can select "Keep source formatting". If you don't see the
icon, go to Tools > Options > Edit and be sure that you have "Show paste options
buttons" checked.

A suggestion: Instead of copying and pasting the slides, check out Insert-->
Slides from File. There is a checkbox at the bottom of the window that will
let you retain source formatting. Try that and see if it gets you closer to
where you want to go.
