Folders is Favorites Bar

I have a user who is having problems with the Favorites bar in IE6 running
XPpro. Opening folders in the Favorites bar takes at least 60 seconds. Due to
other problems he was having, I had just done a format/reload of the OS, but
the problem persists. I also copied his Favorites into my profile and had the
same problem. Any ideas?

One or more of the links in the Favorites may be corrupted or damaged.

Make a copy of the Favorites folder as a backup. Then delete the folder.
Restart Windows to create a new Favorites folder. Then have them copy the
Favorites into the new folder 2-3 at a time to see which one is the culprit
and delete. OR...

Download and install this free utility, run it and see which one(s) may be
causing the problem.

This allows you to save them permanently in a different folder and
re-associate your favorites with the stored icons. It also verifies whether
your links in Favorites are stll good.
