Folders in Inbox and Outbox Mess

One morning, my colleague told me that her Sent Folder was missing from her
Outlook Express. I did a search on the Internet and found a solution. So, I
followed the instruction. I went to the Store folder, found 2 Sent Folder
files. I removed the one with "(1)" after the file name. Then, I renamed the
Folders.dbx file to Folders.old file. I start Outlook Express again, and the
Sent Folder is back.

Unfortunately, by doing that, I created another serious problem. Initially,
she had many folders in her Inbox and Outbox. For example, she might have a
"Microsoft" folder in her Inbox to keep all the e-mails she received from
Microsoft, and another "Microsoft" folder in her Outbox to keep all the
e-mails she sent to Microsoft. Now, there are "Microsoft(1)",
"Microsoft(2)", "Microsoft(3)", "Microsoft(4)", "Microsoft(5)" folders, which
have all the e-mails previously stored in the 2 "Microsoft" folders
distributed among these folders.

This probably arised because I renamed the Folders.dbx file to Folders.old
file. But if I don't do that, the Sent Items will disappear again.

What can I do? Thank you.
