Folder in "A location that is unavailable"

I am trying to delete a folder within My Documents. Whenever I try to Open,
Move or Delete the file I get a message saying [gives file path] "refers to
a location that is unavailable." It then suggests that I make sure the disk
is installed, etc. The message ends with, "If it still cannot be located
the information might have been moved to a different location.

The folder is on (or supposed to be on) my C drive.

I am using Windows XP Media Center.

How can I get rid of the folder? I have tried to delete the folder that
this folder resides in, but I can't because of the damaged folder.

I can right click on the folder and look at its properties and it shows zero
bytes.

The folder's name is "the great .." and was automatically created when I was
importing music of one of my CD's.

might try renaming it to something without the "SPACE" in the name.

or try it in SAFE mode.

I have tried renaming it to remove both the SPACE and the PERIODS but I can't rename it either.

I tried SAFE mode and got the same error message when I tried to do something with the file as I did in regular mode.

On further research I think the problem is that the file folder name ends in a PERIOD. And I think I can rename it via the command prompt, but I have never used the command prompt for anything.

Do you know the steps to rename a file from the command prompt?

For renaming or Removing, use the following syntax.
rd FOLDERPATH.\
The special thing is ".\" is added

Example:
If the folder is C:\ayush.. (Two periods)
Then remove it by:
rd C:\ayush...\ (Folder name + .\)

Ayush [ Be ''?'' Happy ]
