Outlook Deleting folders in Outlook and Outlook Archive

Using Microsoft Office 2019 Professional and Outlook
Our Outlook is being Archived. If I delete a folder in the Outlook.pst file will the folder remain in the Archive.pst file.
We want it to remain in the Archive

I'm fairly sure that if you delete a folder in Outlook, it won't remove the corresponding archived e-mails that used to be there (as I'm sure I've done this in the past). However, I can't find any evidence to back this up online - so can't be 100% confident.

It's too important not to be fully sure, so it may be worth testing it by creating a new temporary folder, send a few test e-mails there and then manually archive them. Delete the folder, then see if the e-mails are still in the archive.
