fn keys

I have a sonly viao laptop. I upgraded the windows 98
that it originally came with to Windows XP. Everything
works well except for one thing. The fn keys seem not to
work, so I can't do things such as to change the volume,
brightness, etc. or to send the computer to standby
mode. Since both keys do not work, I assume that it is a
configuration problem and not a hardware problem. Any
suggestions for what the cuase might be?

Notebook computers require the installation of specialized hardware drivers
only the notebook manufacturer can provide.
Visit the support website of the manufacturer of your notebook and download
the Windows XP drivers designed for your specific model notebook, including
the video adapter and audio device drivers.
