First Boot Up Images Are Off Center

When booting up my first two quick images (one says Windows XP with a black
background the other is an HP logo) are off to the leftside of the monitor
screen with a verticle black bar on the right side. However when MS Windows
XP starts with the blue screen blackground, all is centered thereafter. This
start up is a nuisance especially if you choose to run CheckDisk which
requires a reboot and the data is half off the left side, and you can't
really read it.

Does anybody know how to correct this?

I don't see OP but, the easy thing to do is run chkdsk so the screen
stays a while and then adjust the monitor settings (on the front of
monitor) for that Screen Resolution x Refresh Rate combo. Then enjoy a
centered screen.
