I assume this is due not only to IE-specific code, but also
to the expanding use of XML -- but I could be wrong on that.
Sounds nice this XML, though I have not read one page of my
HTML4.01 Manual (PDF). Why care about XML.
My Favourites are HTML >=4 and CSS, 1 or 2 ... who cares, and
this is more than fullfilled with K-Meleon.[/QUOTE]
I've no idea about the coding stuff; sorry. All I know is that
I'm hitting more sites these days that my default KM doesn't work
on[1], and that I have to fire up FF or Opera to get them to work.
The number of such sites used to be negligible, but the it's been
increasing.
Sadly, reading the K-M forum (as I do fairly regularly), the core
project's not really being spearheaded by anyone these days, and
has fragmented into a number of versions.
I fear for the future of K-M, and have -- reluctantly -- begun to
consider what my other options will be over the next, say, year or
so.
Alas.
[1]The version I use is the standard release -- 0.9 -- with the
Gecko engine updated to 1.7.12 and the UI tweaked to *exactly* how
I want it. Although they're supposed to be the dog's bollocks,
I've never really got into exploring Hao Jiang's various K-M
builds.
