filmstrip viewer deleted

After installing an Adobe program, my windows picture and fax viewer was
affected. I can no longer view pictures in a folder as a filmstrip. This
option is no longer even on the menu in the folder toolbar (by clicking on
the "views" icon). I can only view them in the Adobe program or in the large
format windows viewer, but, NOT as a filmstrip. How do I repair this? (the
program may have been "dumped" when I cleaned the trash bin.)

Make the folder a picture folder with View - Customise This Folder. If you are using a system folder like My Pics then you can't customise. Use Tools - Folder Options - Reset Folders. Windows guesses first time it opens a folder.

This just happened to me as well, so maybe someone can help. I was using a
'DAZZLE' to view my digital photos in the E drive. Normally, I could do this
via 'Windows Picture and Fax. Even when I click on a photo to view the whole
strip it stays in 'Picture and Fax'. But tonight, it disappreared and now
when I want to view a photo in greater detail it takes me to the photo via
PAINT which I cannot stand...

So, when I view the photos from the e drive (via dazzle) it originally goes
to'windows picture and fax' but no more strip.....When I click on the
individual photo, it takes me to paint whereas before it stayed inPicture and
Fax.

How can I get the default set back to always use Windows Picture and Fax
even when clicking an individual photo as opposed to Paint..

Please help and thanks..!

I don't know what a dazzle is. If it's a program you installed then it is faulty. If it is a program try typing in Start Run

regsvr32 shimgvw

(which reinstalls P&F Viewer)

Thanks David..well Dazzle is just something you stick the memory card in to
view photos..I have had it for along time and never a problem. I don't think
Dazzle is the problem.

Adobe popped up on my screen just like the original poster..and somehow
PAINT is now my program to view once I click on the thumbnail. I did try the
START, RUN, etc..and am not having any luck..

SO maybe anyone else can help????
