Filmstrip View changes to Details View

For some time now I have been having trouble keeping my picture folders set
to Filmstrip View in Windows Explorer. I set a folder to Filmstrip View, go
browsing through some other folders and come back and find it has reverted to
Details View. All the folders in My Pictures have been customised to the
'Pictures (best for many files)' setting. Any ideas?

Under Tools, Folder options, View, scroll down and check the box "Remember
each folder view".

You may also have to increase the number of folders for this setting.

Go to the following site:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

Download Tweak UI file in a folder and then double click on it to install
it.
Then click on Start, All Programs. You will see Power Toys for Windows on
the list. Click on it and then Tweak UI. A window will open. Click on the +
sign to the left of Explorer to expand it and click on Customizations.
Change the number to 5000.

This should do it.

Thanks, Yves, I'll give it a go.
