Files staying open after program shut down

i have a program that when i shut it down and then try to restart it later
, it comes up with a error message about a runtime error low memory , i
brought up task mgr and it shows that two files that the program was using
are still open , the funny thing about these files is that where all the
other programs and services are to the extreme left , these are indented
about one letter space than the others and show nothing in the memory usage
column. when i close these files i can then open the program again with no
errors.

any idea what could be causing these two files to stay open??

Since you don't give the one piece of vital information - the *name* of
the program - you can't get the help you need. Post back with useful
